Head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov met with the Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on February 3, informs press service of Mejlis.

The meeting took place in the framework of Refat Chubarov’s two-day
working visit to Germany.

In the course of the meeting the parties discussed holding of an International Forum on restoration of rights of Crimean Tatars and implementation of humanitarian projects by international organizations and the Turkish Government, which include construction of housing and schools in Crimean Tatar settlements as well as the construction of the cultural center and the mosque in Simferopol (Crimea).

Refat Chubarov informed Turkish Prime Minister about Crimean Tatar situation in light of the current events in Ukraine and Crimea, and measures undertaken by Mejlis to establish dialogue with Ukrainian and Crimean authorities to resolve the Crimean Tatar issue and the current political crisis in Ukraine.
