Berlin Bureau Chief for The Washington Post, mr Griff Witte used as a source the infamous “professional antisemite” mr Georgiadis, to create a conspiracy theory according to which the Greek Minister Of Defence Panos Kammenos was the liaison between the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump and the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In order to justify his claims, mr Witte uses a photo of the arrival ceremony during President Putin’s visit in Athens.
By Protocol though, the Minister of Defense is the one who participates at every arrival ceremony, as it involves armed forces honor guard and not cheerleaders.
This article is not just “fake news” but an orchestrated effort to create a conspiracy theory using branded antisemite storytellers and media which
supported openly the Greek Nazi party. Mr Witte should be more careful choosing his sources and especially his methodology. Ignorance cannot be an excuse, especially for a Berlin – based columnist.
