Prokopis Pavlopoulos served as President of Greece from 2015 to 2020. During his presidency, he witnessed a deepening of Greece-China relations, marked by frequent high-level exchanges and growing cultural and economic cooperation.
In a recent interview with Xinhua, he reviewed the 50-year course of diplomatic relations between EU and China, saying that true civilizations do not create divides but build bridges; the so-called “clash of civilizations” does not hold water.
